SENDING - 2011

With God's help... three families have been sent as missionaries from the little church of Papalote and IBB in the year of 2011.  Diego and Luz Elena Gutierrez to Mitla, Oaxaca; Edgar and Olga Garcia to Madras, Oregon; Lazaro and Leti Ruiz to Vizcaino, Baja Sur, Mexico.  They need your faithful prayers.

January 2011

Iglesia Metodista Libre de Papalote sent their own Luz Elena and husband Diego Gutierrez off to Mitla, Oaxaca to join in the ministry of Missionary Ventures International in recording the written Word in indigenous languages so that men and women whose 1st language is not Spanish could hear the Word of God.

Diego had worked for a number of years at a radio station in the San Quintin valley and has all the needed technical knowledge to do the recording, but most of all... he and Luz were prepared for ministry in Bible Institutes... Diego at IBB and Luz Elena at a school in Ensenada.  Luz Elena is the daughter of our first missionaries, Senen and Berna, also in Oaxaca.

Diego's giftedness is also in teaching the Word of God and he is now the instructor for IBB Extension Mitla, teaching Bible courses to students in Chalcatongo and Mitla.  What Diego has discovered is that there are many little churches being led by lay-pastors whose great desire is to go to Bible School.  It has been a privilege to be part of forming these extensions and beginning the educational process for these men and women of God.

Diego is  a prolific writer and keeps us well informed of what the Lord is doing in the back woods and mountain villages of southern Mexico.  Please be in prayer for them as they travel thousands of miles to bring the gospel of Christ to hungry souls.
