Sending - Church Planters
2010 - 2011 - Nueva Era
Pastor Francisco and wife Maria have been faithfully developing a church in in Nueva Era, some three miles from Papalote in a poor village area. Several churches in the states have come together to purchase property and build a parsonage home that at present is the church meeting place as well. The property purchase included enough land to build a sanctuary and classrooms for this growing body of believers. All of the believers in this church have come to Christ through Francisco and Maria. They are running around 30 regularly and up to 50 in their services.
Soon there will be a need to build the sanctuary. The men of the church have already begun saving funds and are leveling the land. They are all excited about this new church in their community. The Nueva Era church is a daughter church of the Papalote church. We are now partnering more and more with Nueva Era. Teams came last summer and held soccer camps and VBS, helped with construction of the parsonage. One of the church youth groups now gives some monthly support to this wonderful little family who are serving faithfully, with faith, knowing that God will provide for their every need.

Our first International Missionaries! Church Planters Edgar and Olga Garcia
After waiting for nearly one years to receive work visas from Homeland Security and Immigration... Edgar and Olga, Edgar Jr. age 7 and Sara age 6 have now arrived in Madras, Oregon to plant a Spanish speaking church in full partnership with Madras Free Methodist Church. The church there has been marvelous, providing a home and vehicle and completely furnishing a home for them. Edgar and Olga are very excited about this new beginning and the very first week there, their neighbors came to the church service at their commissioning. Their homegroup is growing rapidly.
August 2011 - Our First Church Planters to Baja Sur, Mexico
Lazaro (Senen's brother) Letti Ruiz and children Alma Jessica age 8 and Abby age 5 left for Vizcaino, Baja Sur, Mexico knowing that the Lord would care for them as they launched out to plant a church in the state south of Papalote... Baja Sur... some 300 miles south, through the desert. The conditions under which they are living would be quite difficult for most of us. But we hear no complaints.
NLM donated one of our 5th wheelers to the work there. This will be a great help for living quarters. The church in Papalote is giving them a small salary and their men are going down to install the 5th wheel and build an extra room on the side for more sleeping and meeting area.
We are excited for what the Lord is doing there and know that Lazaro and Letti will do well. They too are thrilled to be launching out to build a church for our Lord.
