2011 Update

"So," you ask, "what is the cost of taking a team to work in Mexico with Northern Light Ministries?  NLM does not have a "charge" to teams.  Below we have some proven amounts that you can use as a guide.  Below are some  teams and projects they  have done:

 Some current suggestions for planning:

1.  $200 investment per person toward projects  (construction, block wall building, painting etc.)
2.  Our church ladies will prepare one meal a day for $8 each (includes drink, dessert, and disposables).  The team needs to plan and prepare breakfast and lunch.

3.  We can come and get a team at the border in our van or vans.  The cost would be $1000 RT (includes gas, tolls and chauffer) per van. 

4.  Other costs include propane use for stoves and hot water heater $100, offering to the church for electricity $100 and potable water

    We have produced a very helpful packet of information for teams preparing for a trip to Mexico that we can download to your e-mail address.  This includes plus much more information on:

    immunizations, visas/passports, attire, projects, Spanish words to know etc.
